In this video: “Flotation Therapy | Float House Abbotsford | A Canadian Medical Student’s Experience”, I describe my experience of trying sensory deprivation therapy in an isolation tank at the Float House Abbotsford. I became interested in learning more about using a flotation tank and combining it with mindfulness to improve wellness and performance after learning that Steph Curry uses it regularly to sharpen his focus and improve recovery and the vast evidence base supporting flotation therapy.
The later is very important to me as a Canadian medical student, because anecdotes are inspiring but evidence is the bread and butter of physicians and medical students. You may have heard about flotation therapy with an isolation tank from Joe Rogan, while he does raise awareness about a lot of interesting topics a lot of the material on his podcast is of suspect scientific credibility. That is the reason I created this video, “Flotation Therapy | Float House Abbotsford | A Canadian Medical Student’s Experience”. I describe generally what is float therapy and my personal experience at the float house in Abbotsford and the multitude of benefits I experience due to flotation therapy.
If you can’t sustain it, it’s not worth it.
