Tomorrow is my first day of my third year UBC medical school clerkship. Unlike many of my colleagues who are staying in Vancouver for their third year medical school clerkship, I decided to choose a unique path by applying for and receiving a position in the Integrated Community Clerkship (ICC) program in Chilliwack. Since I am the first person in my family who has attended medical school, I discuss in the video above on my YouTube Channel what a typical third year medical school clerkship looks like and how the ICC programs differs.
Further, I discuss three books I have been reading during my break between my second and third year of medical school which have been influential in helping optimizing my work flow before my medical school clerkship starts. I was really focusing on optimizing my work flow before my third year medical school clerkship because it is not only supposedly the most difficult year in medical school but also the most important for setting up the future trajectory of your career.
If you can’t sustain it, it’s not worth it.
I am a medical student who is obsessed with the Be Activated Muscle Activation Technique, mastering movement and understanding what makes humans thrive.
